英语寓言小故事(一): A mouse once took a bite out of a bull's tail as he lay dozing。 The bull jumped up in a rage and, with his head low to the ground, chased the mouse right across the yard。 The mouse was too quick for him, however, and slipped easily into a hole in the wall。

The bull charged the wall furiously again and again, but although he bruised his head and chipped his horns, the mouse stayed safely inside his hole。 After a time the bull gave up and sank down to rest again。

As soon as the bull was asleep, the little mouse crept to the mouth of the hole, pattered across the yard, bit the bull again -- this time on the nose -- and rushed back to safety。 As the bull roared helplessly the mouse squeaked:

It's not always the big people who e off best。 Sometimes the small ones win, you know。

Seeing the desolate and bleak prospects of broken tiles, collapsed walls, and clusters of weeds, he could not help asking the local people about the reason of the ruin of Guo Shi。

They replied,Guo Shi was fond of doing good deeds, and averse to evildoing, which led to the perdition。

When the Duke could not understand the answer, people explained , Though he liked doing good, he had never been able to do so; though he hated evildoing, never could he help not participating。 That caused the ruin of his capital。

The Smart Rabbit

The carrots are under the ground only the leaves were out. He could not hide there but the farmer was coming closer to him, then he had an idea to dig a hole and cover the top of the hole with leaves and twigs(细枝) and wait until the farmer leaves.

But the farmer did not leave because he needed some carrots to make soup. Then the rabbit had another idea, he would dig under to the lettuce(生菜,莴苣) patch and go home, he will get muddy if he did that but if that was the only way to go home he will do it. And that was the only way to go home. So he did it but by the time he got home he was very muddy and tired. So he went to bed. When he got up he took a bath, when he got out he had a nice meal with his family.

关于经典的英语故事:The Sneaky Mouse

One day a mouse saw some cheese on the table but there was a cat in the house. So the mouse needed a plan to get the cat away from the table. His first idea was to make the cat chase him and then hide but then he thought of a safer idea, to go to the cat's toy basket and wind the cat's toy mouse up and make a squeak(吱吱声) and let the toy mouse go.

So while the cat was chasing the toy mouse the real mouse climbed on the table. When he was about to climb back down the cat came back to the kitchen to drink. So he needed another plan to get rid of the cat. His plan was to knock a cup of water over on the cat.

Just then he saw the cat go to sleep. So he went back to the cat's toy basket and got someyarn and went back to the table and tied it to the cheese and lowered the cheese to the ground. Then he started pulling, but it was too hard to pull. So he got 112 mice to help him pull it to their hole in the wall. When they got there they had a nice meal together.

关于经典的英语故事:I'm a fairy

Don't tell anyone this but I'm a fairy. Nobody knows you see because I never transform around other people. My name is Pixie and I am a green fairy. You see in the fairy tribe I come from they have three different types of fairies: the purple fairy, the green fairy and the yellow fairy. The purple fairies are the queen fairies the fairies that live inside the Queen fairies castle. The green fairies are just normal fairies and the yellow fairies are people such as nurse fairies etc...

I am glad I am a green fairy because I get to do whatever I like and I have a really nice fairy house inside a giant mushroom. I usually transform at night when nobody is around. I started transforming into a fairy one day when I was about 9 and I think it was because I ate thiscrab apple and you're not supposed to eat them! I am 11 now so that was 2 years ago. Now that I'm a fairy it gives me the ability to fly around which is great because at night I go to all my friends houses and check that they are okay.

Sometimes if they are having trouble getting to sleep or they are feeling ill or anything I use my magic to help them. The house I go to most often is Amie's house because she's my best friend.

There are three different types of magic: the healing magic (that helps people), thetouchstone(试金石,标准) magic (that makes things appear and disappear) and come along magic (that brings you anything you want.

This is my friend Ee-oor he is a little pocket dragon not like his cousins who are Wedgedragons (this means they are big and purple!) or like his other cousins who are minute dragons (this means they are almost invisible!)

Anyway I just thought you might like to know a few things about what it is like to be a fairy.
